That sinking feeling.

There comes a time in our lives when we feel like no one around cares, or understands, or is willing to share. It's usually during the period of your lowest low, maybe finances are not going right, job promotion is not coming as expected, grades at school should be a lot better, your relationship feels like it has hit the rocks. It is even worse when you feel you've given so much to a cause and you are getting something close to absolutely nothing in return.
I know that feeling, it is a sinking feeling. It's one of those periods when you really not care if you get caught in a crossfire. Or something will just happen that will take you away from this planet. At this point you wonder if you truly have a reason to live, or you were just planted here to make up the numbers.
Guess what!?! You do have a reason to live, and that reason is that you were born. There is no specific number of people expected to fill up the world, so you are not here to make up the numbers. There is a plan and purpose for your life. There is a reason for your being and your existence.
Why do you feel like you are all alone in such a big World? Well maybe because it is just time for you to be all by yourself. There are some challenges and scuffles in life you are supposed to face all by yourself, and nobody can help you out in such cases, no matter how true their intentions are.
It is at this point in time you have to reach within and look deep inside for that true spirit of excellence that lies deep within. In fact, it is probably better it appears no one cares, because this spirit can only be enhanced through deep cogitations. How do you know you have reached there? It is at this point that you begin to marvel at the things you can do. Things you can remember, hurdles you jump over, and mountains you can climb. It is at the point that your purpose, dreams and visions become clearer.
Caution though, because it is also at this point that you begin to realize that dramatic changes need to be made. Some so big it feels like a complete turn around from what you are used too. Sometimes you might just have to change your location, or companions. Whatever it is, always remember that you have to be true to yourself. You can make it, you can accomplish big dreams. The guys we read about have been through this. Einstein was expected to be a bum, If Steve Jobs never got fired from the company he founded, we might not have APPLE as we know it today.
Be strong my friends, you can reach deep within, and you can find that inner strength that will lead to your outward strength, peace and prosperity.

Keeping your peace.

There are times when we feel overwhelmed, not by anything serious, but people always trying to get on your nerves. It is so easy to ignore them if it was just someone you met once, and you'll probably never see again. However, it becomes such a big deal when it is your colleague in the office, your roommate, or someone in a position where no matter how hard you try to avoid em, you just have to cross paths. A neighbor sometimes.

Usually the best thing to do is to call the person to order and make them realize that you don't like what it is their doing. However, some folks are so incorrigible that they are always looking for the slightest reason to start a fight. In that case, confronting them might not be such a good idea, cos it usually ends up with exchange of profanities and other curse words that should not be said. You are way much bigger than that, you can't let someone drag you into a cat fight, You have to maintain class and dignity. However, you are not a foot mat, and you sure should not be treated that way.

There are not so many ways to handle a troublesome person, but one way I can bet you is so not by dragging yourself in the mud with callousness. They are used to it, that's all they care about, but you though are a man of dignity and class. The best way to go about this is to show you can think better. Focus more on your work, if they get in the way of your work, you can always take it up with the boss.

If it's a creepy neighbor, other neighbors are on guard, if you find someone extremely aggravating, chances are other neighbors think the same way. If you find a coworker extremely aggravating, chances are other workers feel the same way too, and in due time, they sure would rally round you, and annoying people usually learn their lessons, or just go away. I don't know how it happens, but they always go away somehow.

Keep your Class, don't get petty. You are sure to make it. Thinking about an annoying person has helped me do something productive, which is update my blog, something I haven't done in a long time.

I'll get back there in just a little bit.

Funny how i have so much work to do, and I really don't know where to start, so I'm gonna do the same thing I do when I'm stuck in a quagmire, Chill out and give myself a break. But guess what happens when I come back from my break, I find out I have even more work to do, and yes, it is tempting to take another break, but unfortunately there a deadlines to meet, and it is almost becoming impossible to catch up. I'm letting people down, my integrity is being called to question,I'm at the back of the pack. And guess who is knocking on my door, a very horrible neighbor called poverty. I am so not letting him in, I've got to stand up, and be a man! For the benefit of ladies reading this, be a WOMAN! There. political correctness!
Good news is that it is never to late to make a complete turn around. As long as I am willing, and obedient. It's time to make goals, and totally stick to it, giving myself a form of punishment when I let myself down. And staying focused when I am sticking to my goals. Not giving in to the tempting allures of complacency. Fighting distractions with every iota of determination I've got. Staying true to discipline and being totally goal oriented. At my age, I now know the things that empower me, and I know the things that draw me farther  away from being the best I can be. I choose to be strong, I've got to make it, and Guess what, I certainly would. No twiddling , my fingers and folding my arms, sleep will come when I am done with my task, not before it. I sure would always get enough rest , sleep isn't going anywhere. I am on a mission, a path to success. You either lead, follow or get out of the way. I have the heart of a king, so I choose to lead....

Got to go now. I have a goal and plans to keep up with. I'm starting all over again, this is a new course, and I will surely see it to the end.

thinking of consequences before you act

It is amazing how the mind works and how easy it seems to accomplish whatever we want as long as we set our hearts and put our minds to it. It's amazing what the World has accomplished, and how easy communication has become because some people allowed their minds to get to work. This is a good story, but the better news is that you and me can accomplish all these and much more. Only if we put our mind to it. As easy as this sounds though, it is such a hard task. Not because we do not want to accomplish great things, but because there are little foxes that are out to stop us. I call these foxes distractions. They seem so simple and so inconsequential, but they go a very long way in stopping us from achieving that which we can accomplish easily. The power of focus is so important, and what you should be doing are things that help you focus more, not things that take you away from your task at hand.
Distractions come in various forms, but the easiest way to identify them a re in your weaknesses. You see, it could come in the form of entertainment, You think you are going to watch TV for just five minutes, but it usually ends up turning to five hours. How about listening to music on your ipod or fancy phone, this my seem innocuous, but it sure has a way of limiting your thinking time. There are so many things out there to distract, such as skype, facebook or any current  social network outlet.
The best way to know a distraction is to think of the consequences of your actions before you act. Will the after effect make you feel gratified or depressed? Would you wonder what you were thinking when the deed is done? Or would you be glad you did the deed you thought about.
Success is so easy to achieve. What you need to know is that you need to be doing what you should be doing, and you will be amazed how easy life is..

Peace.

getting rid of easily besetting sins

It's amazing how well we hold on to things that are bad for us. We know how damaging they are to various areas of our lives, could be health, relationships, work or even academics. Oh the sweet convenience of procrastination, but the bitter reality of not accomplishing an important task. The relaxing effect of a just one stick of cigarette, but the realization that you  are hooked on something dangerous to your health. Junk food are quick and easy to prepare, and also delicious to eat, but the consequence of obesity is not exactly worth it. It's friday night time to party!!! YAY!!!!!! Usually comes with  'OMG!!!' it's sunday night , and I am not done with my home work. You know what it is you are struggling with. The time to quit it is NOW. YES NOW!!! No more one last time. One last time means many more times.

PEACE
